Over the years, Leee John, the enfant terrible of London soul, has built an impressive discography of top-notch projects as a solo artist, songwriter, and performer. However, for the release of Flashback: The Very Best of Imagination, he returns to his roots, enriching the legacy of Imagination, carried by albums such as "Music and Lights" and "In and Out of Love," with the band's first unreleased tracks in 25 years, thus bringing things full circle. Brilliantly showcasing John's rare vocal versatility, "The Truth" is a bold and romantic ballad with gospel undertones, while "Krash (All Nite Long)" echoes the hedonistic vibe of Imagination's golden age.

Leee John is one of the hardest-working musicians. He tours both as Imagination and as Leee John, exploring pop and jazz, hosts his own radio show, has recorded songs for charity and is currently producing Flashback, a film about the history of Black British music for which more than 80 interviews have already been recorded, including with Beverley Knight, Eddy Grant, Trevor Nelson, Omar, Geno Washington, Jeffrey Daniels of Shalamar, Bobby Farrell of Boney M and Ruby Turner.
