10 years later… in the footsteps of Claude Nougaro! On the occasion of the 10th anniversary of the artist's passing and the performance in Sète, José Molero and Jean-Michel de Courthezon have combined their energy and passion in the creation of the NOUGAROTRIBU show.

Created in Béziers in 2001 as a tribute to Claude Nougaro during his lifetime, the show "Instants d'années" (Moments of Years) had a powerful impact on Thursday, March 11, 2004, with its presentation at the Théâtre Molière Nationale in Sète. That day, this magnificent show was performed posthumously for the first time, just hours after the moving funeral ceremony in Toulouse for the artist. To mark the 10th anniversary of the artist's passing and the Sète performance, José Molero and Jean-Michel de Courthezon combined their energy and passion to create the show NOUGAROTRIBU.

NOUGAROTRIBU revisits the book-musical approach that was the cornerstone of the show "Instants d'années" (Moments of Years). Anecdotes contextualize the creative periods of the Toulouse poet, from his first successful album to his last, "La Note Bleue" (The Blue Note). This work stems from an immersion in the world of Claude Nougaro: studying biographies, exchanging ideas with some of the authors, meeting the artist himself (February 2002), and hearing from friends like Michel Legrand (December 2004). The novelty compared to the "Instants d'années" show lies in the program's approach, which is explained by the musical ensemble of 16 musicians! In addition to the traditional piano, keyboards, drums, bass, and guitars, there is a Big Band composed of 3 trumpets, 4 saxophones, 2 trombones, and a percussionist. This musical force takes the opportunity to revisit and/or present for the first time on stage some lesser-known Claude Nougaro songs: Jet Set, Anna, Epericoloso sporgersi, Sanguine, Ma poule, Marcia Martienne, Et nous voici, Vieux vienne, L'enfant-phare… The great classics benefit from new arrangements or adapted rearrangements: Toulouse, Ca fait mal, Le coq et la pendule, Dansez sur moi, Je suis sous… The essential hits are not forgotten: Jazz et Java, Le cinéma, Une petite fille, Cécile ma fille, Armstrong, Sing sing song, Le chat, Un été… And other surprises!.
