The artist
Ophélie was very fortunate when, as a young child, her mother took her to her opera singing lessons and she could hear her singing from backstage at the Salle Pleyel in Paris. This surely instilled in her a love of music and a desire to sing. And, as a little girl, every night in bed before falling asleep, she would try to invent lyrics and melodies to create songs. At the same time, after several years of music theory and piano lessons, she learned classical guitar, then accompaniment guitar. Over time, she met talented and generous songwriters, composers, and artists, thanks to whom her first album, "Envie de vivre" (Desire to Live), was born in 2008. Marco Beacco (vocal coach) in 2008, Swane Olivier (vocal coach) in 2008, Flora Simonne (variety singing teacher) in 2010-2011, as well as Michèle Laporte (lyric singer and singing teacher) in 2012 were her teachers and now, Ophélie has been a member of SACEM since 2010. In April 2011, she had the joy of winning the "Arts et Lettres" singing competition, organized in Vendée, with her song "Les Passants" where she accompanies herself on the guitar. In January 2017, she had the good fortune to meet Eric Miller (composer and arranger who worked on the music for the show "Enfin seule hélas" written and directed by Sarah Sanders and Claire Guyot, the musical "Atlantea", the album by Joffrey B', and who has collaborated with numerous record labels) who offered her and composed many beautiful songs, each one as perfect as the last, perfectly reflecting the singer's style. This led to the release of Ophélie's new album, "Pensées sauvages", on March 5, 2018, and several concerts with excellent musicians (Frédéric Bourgeois on keyboards, pianist for the group Tri Yann; Franck Giraudeau on drums, director of the Festival des Cygnes in La Baule; and Mickaël Delluc on bass), as well as several radio appearances and interviews.
